Planning the perfect day!
Wedding Timeline
Wedding Ideas
I often hear planning the most anticipated moment in your life can, at times be thought of as stressful. But having a successful wedding does not have to be complicated. Your guest have been waiting for this day for some time now and are thrilled that they have been invited in the first place.
A successful wedding is one that got all formalities, speeches or presentations done in a timely manner. Best way to do that is planning, making and Sticking to a timeline. A well planned timeline can make all the difference in the success of your wedding. A timeline is like instructions on how to put or build something together, it ensures that everyone who is involved has the same information to ensure things go smoothly.
After countless weddings I have attended, I have seen my share of good and bad wedding ideas. I am here to save you the stress and share with you the timeline that I have developed from my experience in weddings. This is what i share with couple who have never done this and have no clue where to begin. Breakdown of a Wedding Timeline
Lets begin with the ceremony.
4:00 Bridal Party Arrival
4:30 Guest Arrival
We all know not everyone’s watch runs at the same time so it common for invitations to sometimes have a time, sometimes 1 hour or 30 minutes earlier than when everything truly starts to ensure everyone is there on time. Guest arrival time is the time we as vendors can expect the first guest to arrive, in other words the time on the invitation. This ensures that we know by what time everything should be ready for guests.
In our case, that music playing in the background. Its only natural that a guest would expect music upon arrival. We greet them with our very own special mix of music collection we have gathered over time from suggestions from previous couples.

Ceremony Time is when we can expect everyone to be seated, bridal party in order and lined up ready to begin walking down the aisle.
It is not uncommon for the processional (that’s a fancy word in wedding world for entrance. In case you didn’t know that already.) to be split in 4 parts. As seen below, its as followed.
Groom is first, sometimes he is accompanied by his mother, others its with the officiant. There is no right or wrong. You simply choose whomever you feel most comfortable with.
4:00 Ceremony –
Song For Groom – Song?

Song For Bridal Party – Song?
Second would come your bridal party, your padrinos or madrinas, maid/matron of honor, best man, event parents can be part of your bridal party.
Song For Bride – Song?
Third would be the long awaited bride!
Song For Exit – Song?
And lastly! The Precessional (another fancy word in wedding world for exit.) The only other thing as far as the dj and music is concerned is gonna be the song we play when you are pronounce and exit the ceremony.
Cocktail Hour Perhaps one of the second long awaited is the cocktail hour. It’s typical to have a mariachi, pianist, violinist for your cocktail. But if you don’t have one, don’t worry will play the whole hour with no breaks necessary, simply let us know what kind of genre or mood you have in mind for this time and will take care of the rest. The Cocktail can be 30 to 60 minutes depending on how much time the couple needs. This time is normally used by the couple to take pictures.

6:00 Guest Arrival
6:00 Reception Opens
When the reception opens it signals to guest to start making there ways to their seats. This can be done in 10-15 minutes depending on your guest count, which is often why you will hear us ask how many guest. You may decide to do assigned seating or open seating, whichever it is, let us know so that we may make the proper announcement to speed everything up.
6:10 Grand Entrance – Song?
It’s not uncommon for you to decide to give each role, couple or person there own song for their very own grand entrance. Alternatively you can choose one song for all of your bridal party to come in to. Some of you may even decide to let the bridal party themselves choose their very own song. (note. I hear at times it’s hard to get the person to actually make up their mind thus delaying the completion of the all mighty timeline we have been talking about all along. So choose wisely)
